Posted January 25, 2022 (edited) depends do you plan on extending the mag or not.. afaik the only diffrence is that the 500 has the locking nut built into barrel and it screws into the mag tube, on the 590 it slides over and is secured with a nut so you can if you want exted the mag if its registered section 1.The only one that I still have at home is the Benelli Supernova. I suggest holding all three if you can and shooting them. If you want a 28 inch barrel you want to consider the Mossberg 500, not the 590. The 590 only has up to 20 inch barrels: it's a dedicated tactical platform.
